A simple daily planning routine with First Light
Capture tasks, choose priorities, check your calendar, and finish one thing at a time.
Start with what you need to remember. Add a task to First Light, give it a date if it has one, and use a list or tag when that makes it easier to find later.
Choose what matters today
Open Today and check the tasks due. Use the urgency and importance matrix to decide which deserve your attention. You choose the priorities and dates yourself.
Connect Google Calendar if you want to see events alongside your tasks. Reading Google events is available on Free; creating and editing them requires Plus or Pro.
Keep the supporting details nearby
Use notes for context and a focus timer when you want to work on one task. Track recurring routines with habits. Mark completed work done so the remaining list reflects what still needs attention.
Review before you stop
Check unfinished tasks and decide what to keep for tomorrow. A short, realistic list is easier to act on than a schedule filled beyond your available time.
The core planner is free. Plus adds two-way Google Calendar sync. Pro adds API/MCP access and priority support. See the current feature table for what each plan includes.
